We are on-hand to answer your questions and to help you plan your event; however, here are answers to some questions we are asked most often.
- Wash-up services
- Delivery charges
- Payment options, VAT, breakages and minimum orders
- Hire duration
- Viewing our ranges
Q. Do we have to wash items before we return them to you?
A. No, not at all. We do the washing up for you afterwards so you don’t need to worry about returning goods clean. All we ask is that you scrape off excess food from the plates and empty glasses. Please put the dirty crockery, cutlery, glasses and linens back in the boxes we delivered them in.
The wash-up charge is 25% of the hired washable items (plates, glasses, cutlery, and table accessories).
Q. How do you calculate delivery charges?
A. We charge delivery on a simple mileage basis. It’s 50p per mile from GL19 4NG to your location and back and then again for collection. Please note there is a £15 minimum delivery charge (plus VAT).
Q. What are my payment options?
A. You can pay by cash, bank transfer, cheque, credit or debit card (a 2% fee is payable on credit card payments of under £50).
Payment is required before the day of delivery to confirm the Hire in accordance with our Hire Terms and Conditions.
Q. I am a private individual. Do I have to pay VAT?
A. Sadly, yes, it’s the law! We are bound to be registered to VAT and we have to charge it.
Q. How do you treat breakages, missing or damaged hire items?
A. Once all the hire items are back with us, we count and check them. We will then e-mail you with a notification of missing or damaged items, with an invoice if applicable. If there are items missing we will contact you and the venue first to see if anything has been left behind – and ask you to return them if you can, to avoid unnecessary charges.
Q. Is there a minimum order?
A. No, there is no minimum order. However, for very small orders, under £50, we would encourage you to collect from us and return to us, as it makes more financial sense for you.
Q. What is a standard hire period?
A. Our catering hire durations are:
Up to 48 hours, or Friday afternoon to Monday morning, is the equivalent of one hire.
|2 to 3 days||1.5 hires (unless it’s over a weekend)|
|4 to 7 days||2 hires|
|8 to 10 days||2.5 hires|
|11 to 14 days||3 hires|
|15 to 17 days||3.5 hires|
|18 to 21 days||4 hires|
|22 to 24 days||4.5 hires|
|25 to 28 days||5 hires|
Q. Can I view the ranges you offer?
A. Yes, of course. You can see most of our ranges on this website but we are more than happy for you to visit our warehouse by appointment and have a look at all the ranges at first hand. If you’re using a Sat Nav(Map) tap in GL19 4NG
We offer you free event planning advice and will work meticulously with you to ensure nothing gets forgotten or left until the last minute.
We look forward to working with you.
